About Mr Edward Calleja

Mr Edward Calleja is a leading NHS and private urology consultant. After completing his urology specialisation at the University of Malta, Mr Calleja relocated to the UK to further specialise in pelvic uro-oncology, working across multiple hospitals.

Mr Calleja has dedicated many years to General Urology and Pelvic Robotic Surgery at Eastbourne Hospital, one of Sussex's premier referral centres for major robotic urological procedures. His focus has been on enhancing care for urological patients, particularly those with prostate and bladder cancer. As well as advancing the quality of services and positioning the department as a leading NHS Urology centre in the South of England.

In addition to his clinical role, Mr Calleja serves as the Clinical Cancer Lead for the Sussex Cancer Centre in East Sussex and as the Clinical Lead and Head of the Urology Department. His leadership and commitment to innovation have been instrumental in establishing the department as one of the region's top urology centres, significantly elevating the standard of care provided to patients.
