Dr Calleja trained in medicine at the University of Malta, where he specialised in urology. He later moved to the UK to hone his skills, particularly in pelvic uro-oncology, and gained invaluable experience at some of the country’s leading hospitals, including Eastbourne Hospital, recognised for its expertise in cutting-edge robotic urological surgery. His practice spans General Urology and advanced Pelvic Robotic Surgery, with a key focus on treating complex conditions such as prostate and bladder cancer.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Calleja plays a pivotal role in cancer care as Clinical Cancer Lead at the Sussex Cancer Centre, where he leads efforts to enhance the quality of urological services throughout the South of England.
